No not sure, but the ‘lines’ were only 1/4-3/8” wide, not wide like your photos and no angles or bevels

What it looked like was the exposed join between the rails and styles was the same thickness all the way from top to bottom along the style.

Probably a drop routed MDF door, as opposed to a true stile and rail door.

I'd find a custom guy, tell him you want the look of cope and stick shaker in 3/4 thick doors......only routed, not five piece. Make sure he can do a factory painted finish. I don't see the advantage, honestly. To me, the cope and stick suits a stained wood finish.

Very similar to the last photo Beth, but just a shaker ‘look’ so the horizontal lines don’t go to the edge of the door but stop at the vertical lines

Other than for avoiding the ( minor ) issue of expansion/ contraction of a five piece door? Curious as to what you define as the advantage to routing, and essentially faking the look?

maureen, she said a solid piece of wood w/routed grooves to mimic the rail and stile. you're showing an actual shaker door

Epic Doors in Kamloops has epic doors and the design I saw in the past, is there as well as a few other designs that are beautiful! Now I have a name! Thank you! And, wonderful to see they are in 🇨🇦. its the Cottage 800 but also love the Cottage 400

As door designs go, that particular design looks inexpensive and rather like a style cabinet companies offer to builders to keep costs down. A "Shaker Lite" design. We saw a lot of that door in the 70s.

Here are other style cabinet doors that represent a certain level of quality.

Oh man…first time ever posting a question on Houzz and this is what i get.

@beverlyfladeziner Not everyone who looks at Houzz has a budget for a major kitchen reno. They use Houzz for inspiration and ideas.

The photo of the navy blue, wood cabinets i originally referred to was actually of a very expensive kitchen/home, not a low budget 70’s kitchen.

Your choice to comment on my post the way that you did, will hurt you more than it will me. i am not a ”pro” who relies on customers to make a living, you however likely do. i would be a little nicer if that is the case…you never know who a customer could be.

i always think of my mom in situations like this. she raised a large family and once said, ”nobody can tell me i dont like white semigloss walls!” There is always a reason someone chooses what they do whether you like it, or not.
