ONCE OVER LIGHTLY: A Bennett intro. I love it when it reaches clump strngth and puts out multiple blooms. Once again, I am a sucker for a white midrib.

OUTRAGEOUS: Not the best budded or branched daylily in the garden, but it increases rapidly and each fan puts up a scape. Makes a statement in the garden.

OUR FRIEND OLIN: Ruffles ruffles and more ruffles. Blooms over a long period of time. I love that the blooms are flat.

Only a coupe of O's for me too.

Here's my Orchid Corsage. I have it planted near my VTs for a nice late area.

Orange Velvet, had a less than stellar year due to the roof I had put on but it managed to get out some nice blooms anyway.

Olallie Autumn Gold, also with the VTs as it is very late. Performance varies but it might have too little sun.

I have seven O's that are all pretty much the same in performance. Here are the best five.

Ocean Spirit - Not as well-budded as other Murphy intros that I grow, but it's very attractive now that its clumping. It leans a bit, since it doesn't get as much sun as it would like.

Ocean Wild has a nice pattern early in the season. When things heat up, the eye loses the gradiation of color. This one is a good multiplier.

Odds and Ends is a terrific multiplier and has good color even in high temp

Old Time Italian is a good multiplier and usually reblooms very well.

Orchid Linen had clean blooms for the first time last year. Bud count was low though, and it is a slow multiplier. Pierce registered it as dormant, but it has not been dormant in my climate. This is an early photo of it. The color is typically not that dark.

Orchid Linen when temps were 98-101. It has rebloomed both years it's flowered.

One Cat Too Many: Multiplies very well and blooms long.

Orchid Majesty: a favorite of mine. Great to give multiple nice clumps and will rebloom here.

Sherry, I like your Olfactory Evidence, it is a pretty one, Davis, I have to like Our Friend Olin since it is close to my spouses name, but Once Over Lightly is glorious in a clump.

Here are my O's.

O Positive produces lots of these rich red little flowers.

Odontos is a great grower and increaser, but it is shorter than I like. I am not in love with the color. I like color to be more saturated. The teeth are nice though.

I really haven't observed how good a grower Orange Angel is. The color is outstanding.

Orange Skies hasn't been here long enough to evaluate increase or bud count, but the scapes are tall and the flowers are large.

Orchids for Minnie has made a large clump.

Not many Os here and most are older. Kay, I have Our Friend Olin but did not take a photo this year so I wonder if it bloomed-it is not in best location. If I find it you are welcome to it.

Ocean Spirit-a leaner as you can tell-doesn’t help that a tree is encroaching its space

Orange Smoothie did not perform well this year and oldies Optical Delight and Open Hearth did not bloom well enough to warrant a photo. My fault-they are in the jungle bed.

Thanks for the heads up....David I love the ruffles on Our Friend Olin. I have two O's to contribute. One is not my best grower, but is one of my all time favorites just because of the face. With the definite lean towards UF's the thrill of ruffles seems to be fading for some, but not for me. That's what drew me to daylilies back in the day. WOW! look at those ruffles! So here is one of my all time favorite ruffles. This is a shot of one of it's first blooms in 2015. I've lost it 2-3 times (it is a sev), but I have always replaced it:

My other one is no surprise. It's just been a work horse for me. Even in this years exceptionally high heat and drought, it flushed it's little heart out again and again.

Sherry: I've noticed over the years that Orange Smoothie is one of my potted dormant daylilies that can have a little bit more damage after a severe winter here. So far it has always recovered (as witnessed by my photo), but it makes me uneasy when I see how far some of my other daylilies have emerged in early spring compared to it. I would say that in your area you need yours to be in as warm a spot in the ground as you can fit it to lessen any possible winter damage. I'm rooting for you because it really is a good bloomer.........Maryl

I always like Orchid Corsage, although I don't consider it a late one. At least not late enough to do me much good to extend the season. LOVE the color and ruffles on OUR FRIEND OLIN. Orange Velvet is a great plant here, one I would not be without. Ocean Spirit is a pretty one, as well as Orchid Majestry, Orchids for Minnie ( my grandmother's name was Minnie, I might have to find that one), and another great picture of Ocean Spirit. Orchids and Gold is a pretty ruffly one.

I like Offbeat, not wonderful performer every year, but when it has a good year, it is just wonderful. Not the best picture of it unfortunately

Oktoberfest is a good plant

I don't have many Os and these are the only 2 I have pictures

One for Steve looked good this past summer, but flowers are just above the foliage.

Orchid Elegance has been a good performer.

Ocean Spirit was divided in 2021, but here is an earlier picture. Well budded, and while scapes leaned a bit, they held the flowers up quite well. Nicely spaced flowers. Pretty much full sun.

Omega Red is vigorous. Blooms are well spaced. A fairly young plant.
