I really want to like that last rug the "sisal" looking one, but it just seems so normal looking, ha? Like you and mforr said, less is more, something I have to learn! :) I don't like this one though seems to bright! The green one was pretty but no green anywhere in the room except for the outside! :) Geees

Just realized it was the two striped beige ones you were talking about, (I didn't find them someone else did but it looks like they're from Restoration Hardware....will check it out

Okay this is it, a decision has to be made, any one want to make it for me :)))) !!!!!! I'm really good with either like colored border or dark!! I must really be getting old can't make a decision! Think the abstract one above the dark bordered rug would be too much.

I like the last rug posted. It lets the cushions shine. It's calm and a good backdrop. How's that? :)

While I have you there let me pose another question .. see the back corner of the room where the big planter is? Well, in front of that goes a wrought iron round table with 8 wrought iron chairs, same flowery cushions...should I use another rug or just call it a day?

As long as rug is big enough for all the chairs to sit on it completely when people are sitting in them. I would look for a complimentary color to dark border one. Or the same one, it's the cushions, accessories and your outside view that will provide the color and interest :)

Maybe ... Let the cushions be focal. Works with cushion grays and contrast to floor.

I LOVE these rugs that you posted but afraid that they will look tooo busy with the flowery cushions..(knew I should have gotten a striped cushion!) I'm still leaning towards the rug with the dark border, says something but not too much! :) ya know? I'm a chicken at heart but love these snazzy looks when I go to someone else's home! Ya think I can do one of these beauties under the table if I have the bordered one on the other side of the room, under the sofa and chairs?

I think the colors and patterns are subtle with a bit of interest. Just to get a better visual.

Yep, dark border one is my first choice. Light one 2nd. I'll put in the rugs LB Interiors suggests too. Just to be on the safe side ;-)

Still like the dark one with the border best. Lets your furniture and the view get the attention and makes it a cozy area.

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ALSO like the Dark Border rug, they call it cocoa (on the inside) which scares me a little but I think it will look good! The other I like is the grey #12 by rugsusa since the white in the rug looks good with the drapes....These are the only two I'm looking at EVER! :))))

Hmmmm just scrolled between 6 and 9....seems that the 6 is softer on the eye because of the curtains too....whereas 9 is a little bolder...I always tend to do more dramatic but this is a hard decision. Do you like the gray at all?

Hmm... I don't really love the grey rugs. Too... bland? I don't know, too much like the floor.
Should we take the inside of your home into consideration? Any rugs or colours there that you can see together with the rug?

Still like 6...I think because it ties in the elements in the room...adds warmth ...isnt competitive and lets other furnishings shine...kinda like a good friend. :)

Ha funny you should say that carolins...my indoor rug is an area rug in a brick color also with an ivory microfiber sectional. My dining room rug is multi color I will try and post both they both lead out onto the lanai.

Moved that little plant already in the living room and the dining room tabletop which is dark wood was being protected by some preliminary thing. Actually changed a few things in that room but have no recent pics but you get the idea with the rugs and their colors!

Oh, I forgot about the striped border one, but that would go lovely with the indoor rugs. Hmm.... I do think you need to keep those in mind when you choose a rug for the lanai. Something that sort of relates to the funky flowery one. So that multi colour stripe could be perfect. Tape out the size of the rug on the floor so you can see if the square shape works. Loo roll paper is a handy tool for that too. You can make the shape and see if laying it on an angle works.

Okay so last night I said THAT'S IT I MADE MY DECISION I will go with #6 the sisal with the natural border....NOW I have to check out the one with the border!!!! However that only came in a square I think...and if I got the natural I could pick one of these beauties that mforr sent me to go under the dining table!!!!! I love the whimsical, but elegant stands the test of time. And with the floral cushions, you really don't want to cheapen the look of lanai with too much pattern. The calm rugs give you a very luxe, upscale look.

I believe they're rectangle. Is your table round? Then I would look for a square rug. :)

Yes I'm going with elegant....I know I liked the dark border and the natural border rugs, but just thought the natural border would be easier for me to bring in another color to the room if I wanted to. The table is 60" round with 8 chairs so I will have to look for a square that would be perfect!
