First wall to carpet is IMO never a good choice . Maybe in a master bedroom but really a nice hard surface flooring is just better We will need to know hwere this is going and your life including, kids , pets etc. I have found LVP is cheaper and much easier to keep clean and if resale is part of the plan for sure no wall to wall carpet.

Have you taken these samples home to look at them next to whatever will be in this room? It's possible only one of them will look good with what you already own which would make the decision easier.

I don't have either of these carpets, but I may be able to help with the color selection.

When looking at the picture the gold carpet underneath is showing me how much pink/purple undertone is in the color that is on top. The one on the bottom is lighter and more neutral.

What you need to know is how each of these colors works with your wall color, adjacent flooring, furniture. . .

What are the other colors in this room that are not changing. If those colors worked well with the gold carpet it is unlikely that they will also look good with the purple undertones of the top taupe color.

The whole room is getting redone- walls, carpet, and furniture. I’m actually leaning towards the one the bottom and that color is one of the options I’m considering. There are two other nice color choices in that particular carpet so I’m going to try and get some larger
Samples to see what works best with my couch (swatch in pics).

The internet is never the best way to look at colors, but from what I am seeing I prefer the top swatch to the other two. The middle one feels a bit yellow/gold and the bottom a bit too gray.

I love the top one. It actually has a very light gray and beige running through it making it so neutral, versatile, and soft looking. My only concern is whether or not it’ll be too light for this high traffic room. It’s 100% nylon but I just hope it hides a bit of the inevitable dirt!

Both are good quality Nylon carpets so wear-wise you're fine with either. I sell flooring for a living and I'm more partial to Tuftex (but that's only because our vendor for Dixie is so rarely here to check in).
