We stained our island in old masters gel Spanish oak and we having some hazing on the clear coat on the drawers. Does the finisher just lightly sand and spray on retardant and thinner?

Also I asked for fa satin finish but it seems glossier than expected. Is it because of the dark stain? Considering doing final clear coat lacquer in matte? But it's a kitchen and in front of range so concern of able to clean oil stains.
