I like your blinds. Maybe they come in a black out option? You could buy some sleep masks for your guest🙃.

I use a combination of opaque accordion shades like the ones you have posted for privacy, light filtration, sound and heat. Then I added Roman shades with a blackout lining for darkness, sound and temp. Works great!

Hey There: You are asking for advice, so here is my take on your shades.

The mistake you made is putting huge shade in front of your windows. You should have gone with individual shade to each glass. This way to keep the beautiful design of the windows and you can install inside mount shades.

You cannot fully use the shades because you have plants and things on your sill...an inside mount installation could have avoided this mishap.

Last but not least: dim out bottom-up top-down shades give you the flexibility of managing light and privacy at once.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I should have originally done what Fenstermann said. Instead I’ll keep what I have, add some bamboo blinds or Roman blackout shades and buy sleep masks.

To me it looks like you need double wide (100" each) blackout panels in between each window. Probably will need to be on a traverse rod too with your ceiling. Good luck.

Thank you for the great idea!
