What about Farrow & Ball Hague Blue? You’d have to test in your location of course. It looks like a lot of different colors if you look at online pictures.

Personally? I'd paint it white or the palest wisp of gray toned to your flooring. Do the blue on stools........

Failing that? I wouldn't paint it. .......at all. Add crisp white stools. Your space feels very modern. Go with it.

I can’t see the colors in your art work. But I don’t see any blue there. I do like the color of your island as it is right now. I would probably add color in the dining area. If your art has several colors, why not one chair in each color? Something bold? But I would contain it in that one spot so that it has an impact. The modern chairs suggested by Jan Moyer are on point!

Thank you so much! I do like the pendant light but the chairs are a bit too modern for me. Im leaning towards something more modern elegance, such as a material (velvet) or upholstered chairs and counter stools.

I think that dining table literally begs for NO legs on a chair: ) Avoid visual "noise"

With new even better artificial intelligence robot vacuums coming out shortly I am rebuying all my furniture (after my fire) with this question in mind...'Is this robot vacuum friendly?' wherever possible. Meaning can the vacuum get underneath, around and between legs, etc. The dining table is one of those places you may need a quick touch-up most. I even installing a roomba garage under my stairs!

Curious if these chairs would clash with my existing access chairs I have? I would have never thought to select these chairs for dining! Their nice !🥰🤔

I think you really have a good thing going on with the current color of your island. It is perfect with your floors, walls, the colors of your sofa area.

I like the idea of an upholstered counterstool to tie together with the sofa area and you could bring in the deep blue color there. This stool isn't right but check it out for the velevet color:

Your table legs stick out pretty far. I assume you can only fit two chairs there and you might be limited by size, which could be a good way to narrow things down.

Are you opposed to an acrylic dining chair that would allow you to see the great table legs? Perhaps you could find one with more of a traditional shape so it doesn't feel too contemporary.

The chair you showed seems too large for table and not sure I’d go that dark as they will become the focal point/take over.

I really like the shape and proportions of these (or something similar) with your table and your design style. There are lots of color and fabric choices and metal options, FYI: velvet is an option.

I’d wait to paint the island until you have (complementary) dining/island chairs. I actually like its feel and it goes well with your art and flooring and modern organic feel you have going on. Introduce color with art and pottery in dining area and a runner in kitchen. Make selections to connect all three areas.

The current island color works well with your furnishings. I would get barstools to match.
