Hi All - what is the optimal width for a runner rug for a 4ft wide hallway? I am thinking 3 ft but Im just guessing, Is there a "formula"? Thank you SO much for answering!!!!

OH dear I said 1 question but I just thought of another- if you put a table or cabinet, etc at the end of said hallway, does the width of the furniture need to be factored in???

This kinda shows what I'm talking about - but with a cabinet or table at the end instead of the basket & art.
