Should the trees go or stay?

I think trees should go, since they overpower the house, but I think that you could replace with a more "architectural" tree that is more to scale, like a Japanese maple or similar. Or, maybe a large flowering bush, like forsythia or something that would complement whatever color scheme you decide on? Would be a nice pop of color, especially if you have a bright door. It would enliven the look of the house. Congrats!
