Duraseal colors on Red Oak

Hello everyone! We are restaining our red oak and want a modern color or a timeless medium brown. What colors are popular right now that don't show orange or red? I was thinking 50/50 Jacobean and Neutral but I am not finding many colors of it online. We have a small sample of it on our floor but its hard to make a decision on a small sample. We also have 50/50 Dark Walnut and Provincial down but it looks orange to me.

Any suggestions and/or photos are greatly appreciated

We refinished our red oak floors this past summer and my only requirement (other than no oil based poly) was to cover the red tones. The only that worked was ebony stain. I too wanted a medium brown but all the medium brown colors/mixed colors still showed red. Ebony sounds dark, and it is, but it is actually beautiful on red oak. Picks up lots of highs and lows in the wood and we love it. I saw a photo that was on this forum of someone who used ebony and that is what convinced me.

Great, thank you so much! Do you mind posting a picture? And did you do 100% Ebony or a mix with natural? We don’t have a lot of windows so I’m worried about going too dark.
