(t strikes me that the details on that front canopy are more suited for a traditional home and not a ranch style home. How did that happen? An open gable with simple details would have been nicer IMO, and the trim should not be white

And are you suggesting a wood door? BTW, this is my house (my sister posted for me ). Not quite sure how that canopy happened but for now it has to remain. Love you’re input

I agree with Beverly the trim should not be white. I think if the porch trim was black or charcoal whatever color it is... like rest of house ...those pork chop gables wont stand out so much. Right now its all I can see.

pick a color for your door that makes you happy, any color would work with your gray siding.

your place would look amazing with this door style.

What about the white trim around the garage and front door? Paint that also? Black or the grey color of the siding?

And should I paint the ceiling of the porch. That’s white also ?

I think you can leave the ceiling of the porch but the rest of the trim should match in this case.
