Yes, we are very happy with the Shellock pavers from Artistic Pavers. We used the Ivory color in 12 x 24 and the matching coping. We used it around the pool and in the covered lanai, so we used quite a bit!

We have white limestone pavers and I love them! They do not get hot at all in my full texas sun nor are they slippery.

My only "complaint" which isn't really bc Iove them, is that they are surpisingly very cold in the winter! But that only affects me the few times we use the hot tub and I now have hot tub slippers haha

Mrs. S, would you be able to show a pic of your concrete? I'm leaning towards concrete but not sure. We're getting ready to renovate our pool and the deck is not overly big. I think the pavers would be too busy for the small area. Have concrete now and have loved it.

Oh, it was one of the best decisions we made, no doubt. We spent a lot of $$$ on our pool (even for our HCOLA) and it has a lot going on. Our awesome pool builder was in favor of the acid-washed concrete due to the fact of our having young kids, and his opinion was that he didn't want me constantly telling the kids to walk and not run around the pool. Boy was he RIGHT.

I think now that a lot can be done with concrete, but safety around the pool is really important, even for adults because we all get older, and who wants to slip on a wet patio anyway. I would definitely make the same choice again.

I have travertine around my pool and have been really happy with it. It stays cool to the touch even on hot days, which is great for those of us who like to walk around barefoot. Additionally, it has a non-slip surface which makes it safe for everyone using the pool.
