Why no take the rack part out and put in a glass shelf for the coffee stuff instead of that little rack by the coffee pot.

Do you need a space for your microwave? Would it fit there?

What about another appliance you use or are thinking of buying such as an air fryer or toaster oven or better yet, combination air fryer toaster oven so you have two appliances in one.

You can have an electrician install an outlet in the back of that cabinet and hook it up to the outlet behind the coffee maker.

Just make sure your electrical panel can handle new-fangled appliances. I don't know how old your house and wiring are

You could also use it to store anything else you want and just forgo fancy doors and purchase an spring tension curtain rod and hang a piece of vintage family lace or embroidery to cover it up.

If it is your style you can purchase vintage obi fabric and use that.

Or some embroidered or plain organdy or organza.

That is done a lot in Asia to cover storage areas and doorways, hanging semi-sheer fabric from a tension rod or curtain rod.
