Jennair Panel Ready Fridge-help!

Has anyone had issues getting custom panels on a Jennair panel ready built-in fridge to look truly integrated? Our cabinet guy said it was tricky to get shaker panels on it because of where it attaches to. I am wondering if there is a trick that anyone has been able to figure out. We didn’t pay more for an integrated fridge for it to stick out like this 😩 any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

Miele makes fridge/freezer columns that are so integrated, they don't even have handles. They're "Push2Open", so they really disappear.

Thermador's Freedom columns are fully integrated as well - here are pics from Thermador's website:

Which model JennAir is this? Or are they columns? If it is labeled just "panel-ready" as your subject title suggests, it is not constructed to be fully integrated so that it would be flush with the adjacent cabinetry. To be fully integrated requires special door hinges so that the fridge doors can open fully when flush with the adjacent cabinetry. Can your fridge's doors open fully?

Please provide the model number. If JennAir does not specify that this fridge model is a fully-integrated construction, you can never get it to look like it is, and you may have trouble opening the doors if you try.

It says it is fully integrated on their website and yes the doors open.

JennAir seems to use the terms ”built-in” and ”integrated” interchangeably. They are not the same. Take a look at SubZero’s site…they offer built-in models, and fully integrated models. Look at the photos of the installed fridges in both settings. You’ll see the difference.

As stated by @HU-758363819 above, SubZero makes the only true fully integrated, disappearing fridges.

Fully integrated SZ columns (24" freezer + 36" fridge) that I used in my previous kitchen remodel.

Current kitchen with "integrated" SZ 42" french door. Not as tight/fitted as the columns, but still flush with the side panels.

@Lauren Sargent did you ever find a solution to your refrigerator? I have the same one and my appliance folks are having a hard time, too. The installation states 25" depth for cabinet, which it is, but the freezer panel still sticks out a bit. They have spent many hours trying to adjust everything. Nothing is in the way. There should be a 1/4" of wiggle room. They even changed out the stupid bolts on the bottom cover on the backside. Still won't work! I would be ever so grateful if you could let me know happened.

And to anyone that comes on here saying that it shouldn't be flush. Yes, it should. Read the manual. The owner of the appliance company confirmed that the panels should be flush.

Lori-sadly, we did not really find a solution. We had a fridge repair guy who was able to get it slightly more flush, but that was him just adjusting/readjusting a bunch of times. If we ever run into issues where they need to pull it out, we will definitely have the same issue again. Sorry I don’t have better news!

I assume that the refrigerator is level front-to-back and side-to-side, and that the doors are plumb. Because the bottom of the door sticks out more on the left-hand side AND the top of the door sticks out more on the right-hand side, I would conclude that the cabinet opening is not square.
