I have been going back and forth on flooring options for the last few days for this kitchen.

When we moved in this blue and “white” tile existed and I’ve disliked it since day 1!

Ideally I would like to replace all floors in the downstairs but that can’t happen right now. I’d like to do something to the floor in the mean time because I find it’s really clashing with the rest of the kitchen.

My latest choice was a brownish oak colored vinyl plank but as you can see we have a bamboo floor in the rest of the downstairs. I am not sure another color wood will go well with the rest of the house.

I am steering away from anymore grey and really feel like the kitchen needs some warmth or something.

I have tossed around the idea of using planks but in a herringbone pattern to break it up?
