To me those tile samples look like they're too bright a white to go with the counter since you're keeping it. But I have always used a small format porcelain tile on shower floors when remodeling baths, so no worries there. If the counter is small I would just replace it. The floor tile isn't bad. You can always do shower curbs with tile although a solid surface is more waterproof. The advantage of replacing the counter is that you could use pieces of the new counter material for the curb. The counter might be St. Cecelia granite. I don't know how easy it is to find pieces to match. All granite is pretty individual. ReStore might have a counter that someone has removed. That type of granite was pretty popular 10-15 years ago.

Raimondi - the mosaic has a mix of matte and gloss tiles. Only 13 of the 49 are glossy

Kandrewspa - I misspoke. The tile is ceramic not porcelain. I read that it is preferable to use porcelain vs ceramic but Floor & Decor said this is approved for a shower floor (although not for other floors). I don’t want to replace the granite (it is all over the rest of the house) and the tile is creamier than what the picture shows. It looks good next to my white kitchen cabinets so I am hopeful it will look good. 🙃

I would think on this step…the materials you are keeping are very dated….they will not blend well with or complement your modern choices…without pictures of the whole bath it is not possible to add any suggestions

I would select white anything to go with your tile and granite.

The gray is a much better complement to your existing finishes instead of white.

ALL tile is ceramic but not all ceramic is porcelain. Porcelain is a bit harder and simply fired at a higher temperature. Even a decent "ceramic" will serve your needs quite well.
