I would still put up curtains like in your inspiration photo but make use shorter curtains that won't go to the floor. Measure the length from where the rod will hang to the floor and depending on what the length from rod to floor is, go to the next shorter length i.e. 96 instead of 108, or 84 instead of 96, etc.

Thank you! I will measure and see what length would be good. So you’re thinking shorter length because of the radiators and couch? Also, do you think the look will be affected by the piece of furniture to the left of the couch?

Your pictures don’t show the radiators. Are the radiators the same width as the windows?

How much space do you have now between sofa and wall? Looks tight so sectional should be pulled forward so curtains can fall freely. On left the rod should go past window 4-6 inches but panel can sit next to the chest.

Thank you for the comments. The radiator is 10” shorter than the window frame on each side. The radiators are also recessed into the wall.
