We are looking to replace a few 20-year-old wax ligustrum with a smaller, single trunk shrub or dwarf tree that can be pruned into an oval or round shape. I passed by a car dealership with these in front that look like what we'd like to get. It appears it might be some sort of holly, but I cannot find out exactly what it is (I asked and they didn't know). Anyone have any idea what this is? In southeast Texas, if that helps. If not, any suggestions for shrubs or smaller trees that would work?
