You will be glad to get this one on your machine. It looks great at this stage. And my borders are very often wavy but that seems to disappear after quilting.

The borders on my log cabin I posted the other day were wavy, but fortunately I was able to quilt them without any puckers.

Those blocks were very hard to align, because they can vary so much because of the way they are constructed.

I don't see a problem with your blocks, Lois. It's a great pattern that could use various colors of scrappy, but I like this. Was it put together like a square-in-a-square?

Yes, it was, Sharon. I suppose the fact that the center "square" contained five pieces caused the "squares" to vary a bit. I did trim down to exact size, but the points of the cream-colored squares did not always align. I sewed triangles to the cream-colored squares and trimmed again. Then I glued every point intersection and seam before I stitched. Man, was I glad to be finished with this top. It's far from perfect, but it's good enough.

Beautiful, Lois! You've done other scrappy brown quilts before, if I remember correctly. This one looks perfect to me and I really like the dark brown strip as well.
