A bench along the wall might look awkward. Instead, I would put the bench at the end of the bed, and put a LARGE piece of artwork on the wall. Your curtains should cover the edge of the window to close to the corner. That will help define the window wall.

It's hard to give suggestions when we don't know your design style. Can you post an image with the bed frame, nightstands, and bedding included? And an image of the fabric you intend to use for the curtains? Those would help.

The house is coastal ( in Florida). It’s a new build and we don’t have a headboard or night tables yet. We are currently using the night tables and lamps from a guest room. The bed us a king.

Would a sitting area be of interest… convenient as needed, but also a nice spot to chat or read (ignore ottoman in picture).

If you decide on chairs, coordinate the bedding and drapery abd even art anove bed and room will be really lovely.

Is there a view out those windows? If so, an you could have a deep upholstered window seat built with a flip lid for storage or cubbies as below. Some Etsy sellers make bench cushions to order.

I wouldn't worry about that corner until you the rest of the space more finished. Get the curtians hung. Art over the bed and/or some type of headboard. I think a bench at the end of the bed would be better than in the corner.

I’d soften up the room with a comfortable chair, art, and a lamp.

IMO if you add a bench to the end of the bed and the drapes right to the corner you need nothing else exacep maybe a nice piece of art hang across from the footend of the bed.
