double wall oven location help!

Hi! Designing a kitchen and I am going back and forth on where to put double wall oven. Prefer this so can have pot drawer under stovetop and higher height for oven.

I can put oven in three places, leaning toward #1 on pantry wall but I worry this is too far from everything else. We have 6 people in the house and around 3 of us at a time can be cooking. Sometimes all kids get involved and it’s nice to have bigger spaces to work with. I imagine island will be primary work/prep zone.

Our designer had rec location #2, but it makes the counter space smaller next to the stove.

Drawing is to scale with 1/4 in = 1 ft, but the location of things is not accurate with inches (imagine everything more centered)

Fridge will be counter Depth - trying to decide between 36’’ or a wider one (just so expensive). I want to do one of those side kick fridge/freezers but so expensive!!

Thought about moving fridge to pantry wall also, but find getting past island to be annoying especially to get things for breakfast.

Thanks for your comments and interested in what others think.

Put it on the end of the cabinet run to the left of the cooktop/hood. Should be relatively close to the stove top so you can easily transfer things from the stove to the oven.

Thanks for your comment! The counter space will be so small though between oven and stove, like 18 inches. I want to have more counter space next to the stove. Would putting it at the end of the pantry wall/cabinet be too far? Figured I can put hot things on counter or island.

You have plenty of landing space in the corner to the right of the cooktop/hood. Plus you have the island. IMO, proximity to the cooktop takes precedence over landing space on the left side.

I think it depends on how you cook. For me, the pantry wall makes sense.

IMO it goes where it makes the most sense for how you cook. This is my kitchen the ovens are away from my range on purpose I run a catering biz and do not want all the work done in one space

My range is othe other side of the island

You design a kitchen for how you cook not for any other reason If it is pretty and does not function for you you will hate it in a very short time. Is the designer a cabinet salesperson or an independant KD . ales people just want to sell cabinets . Are all the bases drawers too. What are planning for a 48" sink it willtake forever to fill and why 2 sinks so close together when both are close to the fridge. I hve back to back sinks because even when just my hubby and I he does prep and I cook. IMO a sink larger than the range is bad design for sure . All walkways should be 48" if at all possible . Appliance garages are IMO totally dated and a huge waste of counter space . I have my mixer out only beciuse it is used evey day sometimes 2 or 3 x a day.The MW the same out where it is used . Coffee bar same . All other small appliances are put away either in the pullout pantries or drawers. I lkke my counters free for work not cabinets sitting talking up the spac e. I only have one DW it is a Bosch with a quick wash cycle it is 15 yrs old does sometimes 6- 8 loads a day and not one service call . The quick wash is approx 23 mins. works perfectly for huge dinner parties and catering.

I always find a microwave is handiest near the fridge…at eye level……. Out of the traffic pattern…for three obvious reasons …eye level easier to observe while cooking…counter space underneath very handy …kids out of the way when they are using it

Thanks for the comments! @patricia colwell , we have two sinks and DW bc we are doing a kosher kitchen (need meat and dairy separate). This is why I did two appliance garages - so microwave and toasters (each for dairy and meat) can go on counters and can be closed off when not used. But I do think the dairy one will be used quite a bit, so many be better to just do a microwave on shelf/above counters.

All walkways are 4 feet (48 in) at least. One sink is going to be 40 inches so can use it for dairy and the in-between dishes (not dairy and not meat, we call it pareve). Figured easier than doing two sinks there and 3 total sinks! I never fill up the sink with water. Was thinking it would be like one of those workstation sinks.

Thanks for the feedback! I think for our purpose going to put oven on pantry wall bc we have 2-3 people cooking in the house at a time. And will need to think about microwaves more
