I wouldn't aesthetically because there would be little or no contrast and it would seem very dark.

I have medium stained wood cabinets and opted for light wood floors.

Also - FWIW - dark wood floor are much higher maintenance than lighter stain becaue they show every speck of dust or lint. Light floors are much more forgiving in terms of dust.

The perimeter cabinets are white. The current floors are tile and have a haze

I prefer dark floors with some variation. They seem to go with everything.

So, clean the current floors. There's no reason to tear them out and do something new. Improperly cleaned floors of all types can haze. Including vinyl.
