Fantasy Brown Backsplash decision

Help! We are in the middle of our kitchen Reno and it is time to chose the backsplash. Here are the details and my question follows:

Cabinets - Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee

Walls - Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige

Appliances - stainless steel with matte gold knobs

Faucets - luxe gold

Cabinet hardware - champagne bronze

Lighting - recessed, & 2 crystal pendants over island. There are no windows in the immediate kitchen area.

Countertops: Fantasy Brown soft quartzite (NOTE - we have a lighter and creamier version with heavy apricot throughout. Photos make them look darker than they are.)

Sloped Hood - Swiss coffee with matte gold strapping
Question: With all that is going on in the kitchen, can I get away with an arabesque tile? Or would I be better off using a subway tile with an arabesque insert over the range?

MSI colors antique white, portico pearl and dove gray seem to match well. Dove gray may be too dark though. Does anyone have any other color suggestions?

Aside from subway or arabesque tiles, would a square 4x4 tile, like the Montauk Collection work better? Sand dune seems to match well.

Thanks for any and all assistance / suggestions!

Hood - not yet installed and not that brassy as shown.

Keep the backsplash simple due to the pattern in the counters. I would let them pull the focus and not add more pattern in the backsplash to fight it.

either the subway or arabesque in white or pearl. i'd probably do the shaped / arabesque tile in the white.

I have fantasy brown right now and the two tiles I got from tile bar look very nice with it. Nabi tile in tundra and Arctic blue.

None of those. first off, NO to the smaller sized tiles (like those sheets w/the 2x4's on them. your countertop is too busy for those smaller tiles. Plus, they just don't fit w/the style you have.

The arabesque, maybe, but not any of those

Here's a larger size and slightly diff shape. I also wouldn't use that bright white

(BTW, have you considered doing pull instead of the knob? your doors are so tall, I think a pull would look more proportional. I mocked some in here)

Slightly diff arabesque that I think would look pretty w/your stone. I believe this is from Riad Tile

Since you have the warmer wood tones w/the floor and the island, I'd lean more toward slightly warmer whites and grays

Here are a bunch of whites from Fireclay tile. shown next to Tilebar Harlequin in their Natrual White.

Ivory glass tile from floor and decor

I really like this one too. (Check Bedrosians and go through some of their tiles. they have this size, which I think is perfect for a backsplash. please, no 2x4 or 3x6 tiles!)

this slightly warmer sand dollar color looks great w/your stone and your wood

    https://www.bedrosians.com/en/product/list/backsplashes/?f_ColorGroup=Beige%2cTan%2cWhite%2cGrey

Here's another one from Tilebar. (you get5 samples for $5 over there. Or, check on home depot or wayfair under IvyHill tile. they have the same ones under a diff name)

This is the 5x5 tile (which I like in the offset) in the cloe tile. cloe has a cream too

2x10 Newport tile in Hibiscus. this color may work. it's a taupe

    speaking of taupe:

This Pearl gloss concerto is really pretty. I love it in the herringbone. take a look at this one

the two bottom left are Shadebrick, and white pearl glass tile , Oceanside tile.

Subway tile—use Navi blue right above the countertops with a pearl subway tile above. Remember to look at pencil shaped tile for endings and maybe a framed tile mosaic below the hood. I like the keep it simple advice. Beautiful granite and kitchen.

Simple! Something in the whites family with light grout. Fantasy Brown has a lot of movement and your backsplash needs to be “quiet”. I wouldn’t do the grays or taupes because of the color of your cabinets. Less contrast works better - which means the backsplash should blend with the cabinet color.
