2023 Raleigh Spring Swap

The 2023 Raleigh Spring Swap will be held Saturday, April 22 at White Deer Park - Pine Shelter in Garner. The shelter is reserved from 1pm til 4pm. Swapping will begin around 2. Everything will be the same as in past swaps. We are limited to 50 participants.

As in the past we have no rules, you are free to haul anything gardening related to the swap and give it away - this includes live plants, seeds and bulbs, cuttings, pottery, tools and equipment. One thing that sets our swap apart from others is that we do not require you to even bring plants in order to participate. We always have way more plants than people. If you feel guilty taking something for nothing you can always bring food for the potluck picnic.

This is definitely a favorite! I don't think I have a conflict but will check to be sure. If there is no conflict on that date I will certainly be there and will let you know. I attended twice, had lots of fun, and came home with such wonderful plants. My kerria and forsythia are doing great.

Yes, I can be there on the 22nd. I have invited a lady in my neighborhood (who loves gardening like I do) to come with me. Looking forward to it. I will plan to bring something for the picnic lunch also.

Oooh I have always wanted to attend I am about 2 hrs from Raleigh in New Bern NC, I have traded on here forever, started when it was the gardenweb, miss those days. I'm also a member of the OBF group. Most likely will bringing a garden friend. And can meet my OBF friend sandlapper_rose exciting :)

Will this still be held? Just asking because normally there are lots of posts to the topic. I hope the usual participants will be there.

Well, I'll be there rain or shine, but I don't usually bring much (no time to propagate).

I will plan to come as well - unless the weather is bad in which case I try to stay in unless it's a short distance and I really need to get somewhere.

Now I'm a bit "iffy" about showing up and so sorry about that. I've been trying to get my house painted and necessary exterior repairs done and it turned out a crew was available this week. Uncertain whether they will work on Saturday or not, but if they plan to work that day, I think I should stay in town in case they need access to something inside the house. So now I'm a "maybe".
