Where is the item ? Is this in astone yrad or in a house youw ant to buy . I need context and as for the spot I have no idea Maybe show the whole piece where it is.

This is in a kitchen of a home my daughter is considering buying. The whole place is a mess. It is an older home but the previous owner made some "improvements". All the improvements are horrible.

On the second pic, that is the cooktop/oven on the bottom edge of image.

It does look similar to the Black Coral, maybe a bit warmer which only shows up with light.

That is what we were thinking, just wanted another opinion. The realtor said it was a builder grade granite but we felt it looked like a resin quartz product. Just trying to figure out what is salvagable and what needs to be replaced. My daughter did not want to throw out real granite, if it was actually real granite. Appreciate the help!

Fortunately, if that is Avonite or similar, that spot is probably inconspicuously repairable, unlike natural stone or estone.

Pull a drawer and photograph the underside please.
