Wallpaper, yay or nay?

We just finished a kitchen reno, I'll post more pictures soon, but my question right now is about this nook. I think I would like to use this wallpaper just in the back of the nook. The green and the leaves is the same as the green on the cabinets and then we'd put some wood shelves in and I would probably accessorize with a bunch of white serving dishes.
Let me know what you think or if you have any other suggestions for the back of the nook.

    Great spot for wallpaper!

I've spent hours looking for wallpaper for a powder room and just haven't found "the one" yet!

Love that idea. There are lots of great examples on Houzz of wallpaper kitchen nooks (coffee stations or bar areas). You should definitely do this.

Thank you all so much for your feedback. I loved it but also know I'm not a designer. I'm excited to get started.

I have personally seen that wallpaper and it was put in a bar nook. They added glass shelves with brass accents. It looked gorgeous!!!

    Do it!

IMO glass shelves and minimal stuff on them so you can enjoy that wallpaper .

It will look beautiful. Go for it! I might even wallpaper the interior sides, not jut the back.

I love it! But make sure the green in the wallpaper doesn't clash with the green cabinet below.

I'm clearly the odd one out. I'd rather see it painted the color of the cabinets instead of the wallpaper. Maybe it is just because I don't love the wall paper. Or because I think it will look busy with objects in front of it and I'm a streamlined kinda gal.

Yes for wallpaper in the nook! Your area is quite beautiful and with neutral. The wallpaper will add beautiful interest in that nook.

Love the paper, but I'm going with a "nay". It is in a small hallway with no lighting over the credenza.

Looking at photo #2 with the brick fireplace and the dark chairs, all with in eye shot of the niche, I'm just not feeling it. I would paint all the walls in the niche the same lovely color as your cabinets.

Thinking hang art, a canvas, not a print, that gives a nod to brown and brick, the butcher block, and not quite so green...more like the soft blue/green of the cabinets.

Install a LED battery picture light.
