Really so you don't want to go shopping but you want us to. Pretty easy to comapre on the computer where you can see all the specs read reviews etc.

Whatever you choose, you might want to think about what you will do when the lighting fails. LEDs are usually long-lived, but they don't last forever and it would be good if the lights were user replaceable.

Thanks - good point on the lighting. I am also planning on having side sconces and have recessed lighting along with a chandelier that will hopefully compensate for any lack of lighting from the mirror or potential future burnout. Just challenging to find any in showrooms to see in person and judge quality.

I bought this one for a small basement 3/4 bathroom. It works great. I opted to forgo the sconces and just have the mirror. Plenty of light but there is also a fan light and a recessed light in the shower. FYI - When I bought it, it was 20% less expensive.

Amazon has loads of them though they're not 40x42. They all have front-facing LEDs but seem to be backlit ones as well.

(I have just a dimmable, 3000K Lufe vanity light above each mirror. They provide plenty of light. Lots of knock-offs if you want to spend less.)

I went through the same checklist recently and ended up pretty happy after comparing those brands. IBmirror and Electric Mirror both have solid build quality, but pricing can climb fast once you add features. I also looked at LED Mirror World and was impressed with their tunable lighting range and memory function without the crazy markup.
