It really does not help to see things in someone elses space unless they have the exact same space and lighting as you do. I am always curious why people want plastic counters when there are 100s of beautiful real stone for counters I know the new Corian is nicer than the old stuff but it is still plastic.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting Corian is a fabulous material. It's practically maintenance free, less expensive then many types of stone or quartz, easy to repair, and in my opinion, has a smooth, silky feel that is quite nice and gentle on dropped things. I love Corian, especially glacier white. My kitchen table top is a piece 4' by 8' piece of white Corian that our neighbors tore off their island to install granite 17 years ago. That granite they replaced the Corian with, it is dark with lots of movement, might now be considered quite dated. Our piece of Corian still looks fresh, it's beautiful. It is Cameo white, one of the the three solid tone whites Corian offers: Designer White, Cameo White and Glacier White.

But Patricia has no problem with the plastic resins sucked into "natural" stone to make it suitable for countertop use.

Antartica? It's white on white. I have listened to too many people tell me they will love their granite counters FOREVER---and then the counters are put in the landfill anyhow when the houses are sold or forever turns into outdated. My walls are painted pale yellow.

I brought home samples and did more research.  Venaro, Antarctica,  and Glacier White all look good but with the marble swirls Venaro is a more sophisticated look ( and it is materially more expensive than either Antarctica or Glacier White).   I decided on Venaro.  Thank you for the input and ideas.

@pamela7843 Check that off of your list! Verano is lovely. Will you be getting an integrated Corian sink?

@pamela7843 How do you like the Venaro? Are seams overly visible? I am intending to use Venaro as well and am also curious about the type of sink you selected -- I'm grappling with this myself. :) Debating integrated vs drop-in.
