I really enjoyed seeing your blooms! The daffs are starting here. Quiet an accomplishment starting a cactus from seed, never tried that. Hope to see more from your neck of the woods soon.

Nice cactus and from seed is incredible. Here daffs are nearing their end and most tulips are open while others are showing signs they don't like the 80+ degree heat. The weekend we had frost and the last couple of days we jumped into the 70's and 80's. I'm on my 2nd round of mowing. Oddly we've had no rain for almost 2 weeks but storms are coming for the weekend.

I bought the Rainblow Cactus last year, and am thrilled to see how nice a bloom it may get if I don't kill it first. I think it may have made it over winter under the grow lights inside, but won't know until it warms up enough for me to get it outside. What is in the bottom of the pot with it? Looks sort of like a Kalanchoe...........All your plants look great. Love the dafs. Mine have passed over along with most of the other early spring bulbs.............Maryl

The cactus flower is really nice! My daffs stopped blooming about a week ago. I have a viburnum that looks like yours, but mine didn't have many flowers this Spring. My irises started blooming today, so I'm looking forward to more iris blooms in the coming weeks.

One that I was worried about but just came up late was Explosion In The Paint Factory. Whew!

Nice daylily, and I love the cactus! How long does cactus take from seed to bloom? I have a lot of daffs, most have finished blooming now. I noticed several clumps are not blooming this year, I imagine they are overgrown.

Looking forward to seeing your new varieties, Dick! Spring has been disappointing here, but after winter, even disappointments look comparatively good. Early daffodils were good. Then we were hit by a roller coaster with nights below 20. Among the carnage were mid-season daffodils, soulangeana magnolia, early and midseason tulips, Kwanzan cherry, and nearly all the lilacs. Dogwood and flowering crabs are very nice, as well as later daffodils, though intermittent heat extremes have also taken their toll.

The daylilies are growing very well. Greatest fear for the upcoming season is adequate moisture, but next week looks to be a genuine April week, with many showers,

Nice to know that daylily friends are back this spring. We were so lucky to get a lot of weather suitable for being outside this spring. The beds have never looked so good.

Pat was invited to the National Convention as part of a panel discussion, so we will be in Nashville. Anyone else going?

Explosion In The Paint Factory is looking good. It is three husky fans. It should bloom this summer. A seedling Pat bought last summer is the first scape to show up. I hope it doesn't blast with the cold nights we are having. It is still down in the leaves and weather is scheduled (hah) to warm up later in the week.

Our dogwoods are spectacular this year. The crabs too look great, although the blooms are starting to fade. Daffodils are starting to fade, but the tulips are hanging in there. They must like the cool weather without hard freezes.

Nancy, it took years (maybe 12 years, but not ideal growing conditions) for that Arizona rainbow cactus to flower. They are very slow growing. The cactus is about 6 inches tall now.
