Sambucus Nigra in wet soil

I have read that SN can handle wide range of soil conditions. How much wet soil can it handle. I have taken SN hardwood cuttings that I hope to plant in area an that stays fairly wet in december to early spring. Usually after heavy rains, it is difficult to walk on for 48 hours, just to give you an idea. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Well, since no one has answered. I'll just say I have never seen S nigra growing in any kind of swampy area. It is a very common native here and is found in hedges, woodland edges and uncultivated or waste land, not bogs. However, if you have multiple cuttings why not experiment?

Sambucus nigra is very tolerant of wet soils.

Thank you. I will add it to my list of experiments. It is just that I will know for sure about a year from now. SN is tolerant of wet soils but the question is how much.

I can already say that dwarf Camellias and Viburnum x bodnantense 'Dawn' can take prolonged water logging nicely
