Hi! Would love thoughts on this proposed basement layout. One change we already anticipate is that the bathroom will move to the center of the back wall (the wall it is on) because of the location of the sewer line. This creates an awkward nook in the back corner of the house - but may just mean expanded storage.

The mechanical room, the fire stack, the support posts, and the stairs are fixed.

Our desires include having a basement mudroom with a bathroom beside so folks playing in the yard can come in and use the restroom easily. Also - a storage space, a playroom, a gym (could be combined with play) and a basement office with a pullout sofa that will double as overflow guest space. The most common use for the basement will be play/workout. The office/guest won’t be used too frequently and this layout tries to keep it versatile and connected to the spaces we will use more often.

I like this layout and am just curious how it reads to those who have been around the block.
