Landscape Lighting input!. thanks

Hi everyone, I have started a stone retaining wall in the front of our property, and finally getting around to landscape (After many years..). I have a landscaping plan, but not any lighting plan. See attached image for a rough edit of where the wall is going.

In front of the wall, we will be doing some low landscaping out to about 10 feet, then reseeding down to the road. Unfortunately, the boxwoods are going and we will just do low planting up to the driveway edges

On top, we will have some low landscaping in front of the porch (there is about 5-6 feet between the front of the landing and the wall), and as we move over to the left it will increase to some higher bushes.

The front face of the wall will be from 6 inches high on the right side, all the way to 48-52 inches on the far right side. I am not looking for a massive amount of glare/light, just some accents along the front. Do I just put some up/down wall lights on the wall, and some up lighting towards the porch?

Any thoughts or ideas would be very much appreciated, as I am not a designer at any level...

I prefer to stay low voltage as I already have a transformer for my porch lighting

Ill wait for the plan. My dad is a landscape architect and my former life is in lighting so between the two I think I can help. also what is the budget, will you have sprinklers, and where is the path?

Where is the walkway to the front door? I like lighting along a walkway for safety and aometimes for high lighting a special tree but that is all the outdoor lighting I usually go for except for Christmas when we outline our roof in lights . I am a bit concerened with the overuse of lighting since it does affect birds well being.

Hi Patricia, Thanks for your comment. Definitely looking at more of a mild accent approach vs a big light display - not my style. The walkway to the front door is straight out the right side from the steps up top - out about 20 ft. It's hard to see from this photo. I have low-voltage 1/2" pin lights in the pavers to guide the pathway. I also have those pin lights on the steps going up to the front door. Really just looking for something very subtle along the wall. Thanks

Landscape plan and lighting plan go hand and hand so lets see the landscaping plan. also how many watts is your current transformer? Yes you will move to led but you do get light loss with long runs so that will also be important. how many taps does your currend transformer have?

@RL Relocation LLC Thanks. Good thought about the landscape plan. I need to scan it in and will post it tonight. Regarding the transformer. It's 100 WATT. I plan on using 12 AWG to reduce voltage drop. The longest run to the end of the wall to the transformer is about 70 -80 FT. (It's mounted under the porch in the center). Transformer has 2 taps. I am using one for porch lights and plan on using the second for landscaping/wall lights. In addition, I am toying with some shelly relays for added switching from a single tap, if I want to add additional controls to the lighting.

There is room for a path between the wall and the landing trellis. I Am not doing automatic sprinklers. I have a bunch of timer valves and soaker hoses that I will lay out as I do it. Regarding budget, I really don't have a number, Outside of the wall, it's all DIY. I have started using the In-Lite products on my pavers over the past year or so and really like the products. They are not the cheapest, but so far they are woking great and are good quality for a diy job
