Bare sheet rock, adding a bathroom

Construction work scheduled to begin this upcoming Monday. Adding an on-suite bathroom to master bedroom with standing shower only, no full bath. My style is creative, busy, arsty, lots of focal points and details that grab your attention, stimulating bathroom experience. Any tile suggestions?? I am in love with aqua and metallic combo. White, blue, silver mood board. Mock ups will be appreciated as my imagination and visualization abilities are not the greatest...

A bathroom can be added to a room with naked sheet rock in a few stages. The walls must first be prepared for plumbing and electrical installation. This includes making access points for plumbing, wiring, and outlets, as well as fixing any existing sheet rock holes. Once the walls are complete, the plumbing and electrical wiring must be installed.

I like the first tile because the white is dominant.. for a fresher cleaner feel…most important in a bathroom…but more importantly …I would suggest you look thru HOUZZ “ photos” … type in the key phrases .. like …busy…artsy…eclectic…. Bathrooms…for lots of pics and ideas

Another approach is starting with a colorful wallpaper that you love…

A 100K project like a bath addition needs extensive planning, permits, and advance materials sourcing. Hire a kitchen and bath designer immediately. The design work for this should have been done 6 months ago, and everything ordered 4 months ago. You are going yo sit there with nothing happening for months, or be forced into crappy material seconds.

I like pieces of what you have picked out but would likely feel like too much (for me) all together in one bath - good bath design requires a fair amount of restraint, not everything should be a star - I would start with one item you love (floor tile, counter etc) and build around it - a local tile showroom can be super helpful in selecting tiles

Btydrvn, I do not care for wallpaper in a bathroom. Gets stinky and peels from vapor. Not

As I mentioned this is quite a small space, no place for a bath tub. So, no, hu2249558342, it is not exactly a 100 project

Creative. Busy. Artsy. You are speaking my language. Do you have any inspiration photos of completed bathrooms?

Shop for your pieces and get a story board going. As you shop you will probably like one thing and then see something else and gravitate to another. When you find your special piece then you can start building around that one piece. For example, in my last MB we found a thick stacked green glass sink it was big, chunky and beautiful. However, finding a tile that was cohesive with the green glass was tough. As was finding a faucet that was in scale to the sink, ended up going with a kitchen faucet to match the scale. But you keep going, you keep shopping, and, in the end, I had a magazine worthy space. Did it happen in weeks no more like years. But I leave no stone unturned. Have fun with it.

Jjaazzy, I can so relate. Dreaming and fantasizing about this project for years. Only now did it come to fruition. Banker of the house said
