Hi! I've been trying to figure out what this rose is and I'm stumped. I even looked in a book! Any ideas on what it could be or directions on where to look would be appreciated. I'm happy to take more photos as long as I don't have to get scratched up. :)

The original is dead, but I have a cutting that is doing well (there's a post about that!). The parent plant was old when I moved in about 10 years ago. I don't know if it was a climber or what. Couldn't tell if it had been grafted. It looked like this and was probably planted between the 1950s and the 1970s (CA, SF Bay area, zone 10):

It was doomed for various reasons so I took some cuttings and now have this (situated even worse than the first):

The buds start deep orange and fade to a salmon color. Yellow at the base of the petals. Each flower has about 19 petals. It's very fragrant--nothing weird, just smells like rose. It does make seeds.
