How to growers determine (graft height)

I suppose the answer could end up literally depending who's doing the grafting that day

Same -grower- tags.

Grafting points seems a bit varied and not consistent amongst all the pots I've seen (3G, 6G, 10G, 15G and 25G. On the larger sizes, the 15G actually had better structure and a lower graftpoint than the 25G.

I was leaning on the 15G but ultimately picked up the 10. It had a nice low graft point and overall the structure just sung to me so much more. Much more than the larger ones.

Anyhow, just talking/thinking outloud.

Is there any -set consitency- that a wholesale grower adheres/specs/instructs their grafters at which height. And or simply the one doing the scion and whatever height they choose at their will at that given moment.

I've seen worse - like 3G with grafting on a high graft. Not lollipop high, but ugly 8-9" high. Not a fan.

Eh, when buying garden stuff, it's like produce picking ya know. Gotta cherry pick these things. What looks good to my eye may not look good to another I suppose
