I have only been able to find a couple of threads on carpet vs hard floors. I grew up in a 200 year old farmhouse with painted pine plank floors. I thought wall-to-wall carpeting was the height of luxury. By the time I was married in the 70s it was ubiquitous and we still have it today.
Now we are about to re-do our first floor and probably going with the latest trend, LVP. My question is, will i miss the softness of carpeting? If you went from carpeting to vinyl, how did that transition feel? (Not interested in the cleaning debate).
