From a 5-day, no-expense paid, no fun guaranteed, vacation.

In the hospital.

Had an infection in my lower leg that just refused to heal completely, in spite of diligent (daily) wound care and antibiotics over a period of several months. So I was admitted for a round of high-powered antibiotics that can only be administered intravenously.

Came home yesterday, and so far, so good. Hopefully my out-patient wound care will end this coming week!

Now. To get caught up on all my 'net surfing, forum reading, games, etc.

Wow so glad that you are cared for. What a pain in the leg in this case.

Stubborn infections are so on the rise. glad the doctors were able to help you. Enjoy the surfing and the healing. leg

Welcome HOME! I hope you never have to take that trip again.

Our DIL's father has been in and out of hospital with a lower leg/ankle sore that will not heal. Lately it's better, but he still has to go in on an out patient basis. He's learned to be less sedentary and lost some weight, and the improved circulation has helped.

How was the hospital food? <smile>

Oh, what a bother! Really, there should be full spa and entertainment/educational services when one is in the hospital for something like that.

Oh how awful. I hope you continue to heal. I know the wound care center in my hospital has a hyperbaric chamber to encourage healing.

Now get to work on Quordle,myfriend.
