I have a non-vented gas fireplace which I was told only has a screen. Can I put glass doors on but just make sure they’re open when the fireplace is on? And can the glass doors be closed when the only pilot light is on? I do understand it’s a safety issue to have the doors closed and the fireplace on. We have dogs and we are looking for a way to keep them away from the little rocks in the bottom of the fireplace when we aren’t around.
