 I am only recently learning about Arctic Blue and it looks like a wonderful rose! No wonder you want a second one!

Desert Rose and Feiy Lo, I've always been entranced by the catalog pic of Arctic Blue since its introduction, but never trusted the color. It's great to see both of your pics, and how similar they are in color in different climates (PNW and the Huntington in San Marino!). Not the same color as the catalog pic, but a lovely color still :-D

Wow, what a gorgeous rose. I wonder why these roses always seem to have more blooms in public gardens than in people's yards.   It must be the sun exposure.

I'm glad you like it. The lighter reverse is attractive and its disease resistance impresses me very much. The high humidity here in spring and fall makes many roses struggle, but definitely not this one. Although it has just a light fragrance to my nose, based on these good qualities above, it deserves a place in my garden. (Maybe two. LOL)

thanks very much for description of the fragrance. I saw one in my friend’s garden today, it was lovely, covered with lavender blooms. i do not recall much fragrance. She said it was blue for you even though the tag said Arctic Blue. Is it true these 2 roses are somehow similar ?

No they are very different.
