I am in the exact position you are in. I have Wordly Gray in the kitchen but the adjacent rooms have amazing gray 50% darker. I am contemplating edgecomb gray for an all over paint color in all rooms.

I don't have any specific color suggestions but I think you can use a light color, it would look great with your trim and floors.

You have a good "cut off" spot for kitchen, so might go with a very pale white/blue. Let me grab some possible colors. bbl

What you really need is better lighting. Lighter paint cannot overcome a lighting deficit.

Blues are tricky. Try to pick up on one of the neutrals in your counter. I can't tell you what the right color would be because the specks in the counter are so small. If you bring home a bunch of chips one or more of them should look right. You can try blues as well, I'm just skeptical they will work as well as a neutral. Look for something with a LRV of 65 or higher to get a lighter color.

SW sea salt. It’s light green but shows blue and gray in some lights. Has a cult following for a reason. If you read my post history, you’ll see I’m a little obsessed - but I think it would be great in that room and neutral enough not to clash with nearby surroundings.
