Here are pics. You can see the left side has a gap compared to the tight left. Its not nailed at the ends yet but the left side needs alot of force to come close to the ceiling. Is this from a out of level ceiling? Should I split the difference and bring down the right side a bit to relieve the force needed on the left side?

You can't put a compound bend in crown molding; you only get one direction. Good thing it's getting painted. Get good with your caulk gun; you're going to need it.

You have a nice ceiling line there, and appears you have 8 ft ceiling height. I would not put crown moulding there.

Not sure if you like the look but these corner blocks make crown molding easy to do.

I am not a huge fan, but the owner before me used these on the new portion of the house so I can justify using them since that part matches. They are really cheap, every big box store carries them, and saves saying a lot of bad words.
