Hi Jen333323 - Stay away from trends. Very dark floors were a trend several years ago. Go with a medium toned wood. No gray (another trend). This is assuming you want wood look vinyl plank. You can search here on Houzz with those words “medium tone wood or LVP floors.)

What is the light like in your space? What are the colors of the walls, and what is your style? This all plays into it.

I would go with a floor that doesn't call attention to itself like Lotus Clove by lions's floor.

I agree with staying away from trends. When you go to a flooring store to look at the products they stock you will see trends well represented. Three years ago we replaced the LVP in our basement and had a difficult time finding something in a warm color. Everything had a gray undertone. I wasn't interested in replacing my furniture to go with cool, gray tones, so I bought the warmest color available (pretty much the only warm color). Now everything is pretty light (and warm), which will be helpful for you since you're looking for something lighter. But keep in mind the other commenters' remarks. If you install today's trend, in a couple years it will be "out." No matter what you choose it should go with your furniture and kitchen cabinets (if you're installing in or near the kitchen) or else you will have knocked over the first domino and either end up hating your new floor or be buying all new furniture to go with the new floor.

Agree with others. Don’t go trendy with fixed elements such as flooring. Even though LVP is relatively inexpensive flooring, you don’t want to have to replace it for every trend. Medium toned wood almost always works. Stay away from gray tones. Do you need new floors or do you just not like your floors? Maybe new area rugs would help instead of replacing the floors.

Don't get white or off-white - you'll be forever cleaning it. Textured light grey perhaps.
