You are the designer and IMO did a poor job of kitchen design to start but the lighting plan seems to be okay but use all the same size pot lights and next time you deisn a kitchen all base cainets should be drawers and a range should be vented to the outside when ever possible

Not everyone wants drawers in their base cabinets. I personally hate them but would never tell anyone not to use them because of my personal preference.

The hard truth to hear is that the lighting plan is not very good - functionally or aesthetically. The kitchen layout is not very good either, so it makes no sense to work in a lighting plan based on that.

you dont need three pendants, elimate the one over the sink. also check the door swing distance before ploting the holes for the pendants. You also do not need two sizes of recessed lights. really no point to that. As to the layout can you still change a few things?

What would you change?

All options should always be considered. Then reduce, eliminate per goals and budget. Then rework and refine. So maybe moving the Laundry door helps. Maybe there are opportunities with the Dining Room. Maybe the window location. Turning around to access the DW behind you and across the floor should be a dealkiller when you have space more in line with a galley kitchen setup. The peninsula (which is not used for seating) leaves about a 3'-4" (estimated) aisle, but the jog constricts it and the angled cabinet is not optimal. I would try to widen the 15" next to stove as that is not much of a usable counter.
