Sorry but I rarely like shake style siding so I think a pic of your house might help I would not use another brand of corner for sure . So post a pic of your house in a comment here DO NOT start another post.

The Hardie shingles can be weaved corners and the siding mitered, is it costly, yes. Can it be totally botched by an incompetent contractor, of course. I would not use another manufactures product as it will not be warrantied, may not move at the same rate and may cause you major issues.

The ones you linked won't work -- they work with that brand of siding.

You can use these for the lap siding.
