What's wrong with this tree?

Not sure what type of cherry tree/bush this is, but we've had a row of them near the house for 40 years. They lean over easily. They get about 10-12' tall and make berries that the birds love. But this year, they all got this problem in their leaves. Even the small volunteers have this problem. No sign of bugs. Just wondering what's going on? Could they have gotten frost? It's strange how all those brown dots eventually fell off the leaves. Please let me know what you think. And do you have an idea what type of tree/bush this is? I'm sure it's a cherry something.

Thanks!
