Marvin Elevate full frame replacement trim

We are in process of having old double-hung windows replaced with Marvin Elevate full frame replacement. The installer said trim was finished on lower left hand window. Something looks off to me. Would wider trim look better? Or is it the black gap between the window and the trim? I want to fix whatever it is before he trims the rest of the windows. Thank you

Looks ok, it is standard brickmold. I would probably change it out and use a 5/4" x 4" flat casing were it me.

Looks good to me . The black gap appears to be the weather stripping. I prefer brickmold with a sill vs flat casing. 5/4 casing is usually 1” thick and won’t creat as much reveal to the siding as the 1 1/4 brick will.

what did you have for trim before?

Did you agree to what the casing would be?

Is it a factory applied Marvin casing or something they applied?
