Look for whatever annuals or bulbs are on sale in Aldi's seasonal aisle, maybe paint something found (large pot? sculpture? chairs and table???) for some color.

If you are soon moving, leave a blank slate for the next resident.

I'd powerwash the patio and plant something around the round patio. Lavender is classic, but you could do annuals as well.

Just plant a few containers & maybe patio furniture since you’re only going to be there for a year. Something you can take with you. Trees, regardless of your climate, take time to grow.

I would go with firepit in the middle of stones with outside chairs plus colorful flowers along the fence.

Like the idea of adding flowers each side, I've just planted herbs in the left flower bed, but could add some lavender for colour there...

Any ideas what to do with the expanse of pretty naff looking patio? I pressure washed it 3 months ago and it hasn't gotten much worse in the meantime... Is it possible to paint them or put a thin layer of something cheap over the top? Not a huge fan of gravel as it always tends to spill onto the lawn
