Would you recommend a gas stove for the basement? Looking for design layouts recommended for basement

you need to provide a measurement/floor plan of the space. Do you have any plumbing?

what do you want to use the space for? TV viewing, game room, extra sleeping space, laundry.

Do you have an egress window? a gas stove for cooking? or for heating the space?

Legal tw obedroom basement. Yes several egres windows and side entrance. Gas stove for cooking. Thinking best to keep gas stove upstairs and electric stove downstairs

Finishing a basement necessitates creating a plan. Begin with accurate overall measurements and add all fixed obstacles such as furnace, stairs and structural elements. Graph paper is an easy starting point. Place masking tape in the floor to create an environment and modify it. OR, enguage an architect.

No - more ventilation and fire hazards than upstairs. Go with induction electric in a basement.

This is obscure, but we had neighbors who remodeled their basement and one of the heat/air conditioning vents was inadvertently connected to a basement heat run; they went crazy because they could hear every noise that was going on in the basement......be aware of weird situations....lol.
