I didn’t give up on the round olychick I i am waiting for one more rug to come today so i can compare everything ive found so far.

. The 3 round gives okay coversy, but not geat , I could really use the extra foot of coverage with a 3 x 4, but they are difficult to find. I looked at home depot , but 3x 4 all come up with 3x5 rugs to choose from. I guess they just round it off to the nearest rug measurement (?(

do toy think the 3x5 sticking out beyond the wall looks bad?

last of the rugs rhat I found arrived. The sizing works well 32z48 but it looks more like a bath mt to me 🤦🏼‍♀️

i either need to go with the round at the door, one of the 3x 5 rugs and deal with the extra length sticking out from the wall, or keep looking for a 32x 48 washable rug

Have you considered Flor? Not machine washable, but the company says it is washable. And you can trim it to size if necessary.

Do you have a Home Goods nearby? They have lots of rugs and you'd save on all the shipping. Even if you don't buy from them, you can get ideas of patterns and colors.

I was also going to suggest Flor but when I looked at their site to see what the cleanability is, it says they are not waterproof and if they get wet it could ruin the floor below.

I actually had Flor when we first moved here. They aren't truly washable. you can remove a carpet tile, and then scrub it in a sink , but the one tile would then be discolored and most times, i ended up just throwing the tile out and replacing

it was an expensive headache. For a low traffic area, i think they’d work well, but for high traffic, I wasn’t a fan. They should make them machine washable. That would be ideal.

i actuallt have a home goods right down the street. Ir’s my home away from home 😂 great suggestion, but its always a hit or miss, and I havent found anything. Found a great kitchen mat, but no luck for emtryway.

Maybe you might go visit your local carpet stores and look at patterned carpet they can cut and bound for you. Might even have some remnants to work with. I'm gonna be honest - the ceiling wallpaper is so beautiful, but any rug in grey so far doesn't look that great with the flooring and takes away from the ceiling, just my opinion of course. Consider another color that ties with the living room or other visual spaces that are seen from the entryway.

I went my local carpet store, but the main issue is that they dont have washable rigs , which is what I need. i wish they carried them

my floors appear darker in photos, They are lighter in person. They are white oak, no stain on them.

Thank you,!! 😊the wallapper did turn out beautiful; we love it. The wallpaper has different light gray blends of color, and the entry walls are a soft gray. The rest of the colors in my home are light gray , blue , ivory. A blue rug looks out of place in the entry, as all the surorindings of it are gray. An ivory rug in an entry- yikes !!

Not sure what orher xolor would work and look better than a gray, i hate black , so that is not something i like. Light Gray seemed like the best option to me 🤷‍♀️

I like this one really well but it's just to give you an idea because it's not washable.

Re: washing Flor tiles, discolored tiles were my disappointment also but I figured it was just

me.

Have you considered indoor/outdoor rugs? Not sure there will be more size options, tho They are pretty inexpensive and you just hose them off, so maybe you could get two-a spare to use when the other is drying.

I have done that also in the past, but I live in NY, so I have to frequently wash rhe rug in late fall/ winter when we get the most mess from the elements of rain/ snow/ ice/ mud . Using a hose ourside in the freezing cold/ winter to wash a rug every couple weeks , no longer entices me 😂

thats why i am set on machine washable. indoor warmth 😊

Haven’t read all the comments, but have you looked at ruggables? They are washable - have washed mine many times.

Hoping that either the antelope or herringbone design AM posted might work for you.

other rugs I was waiting on were all terrible. this was the only one that looked decent. Its okay; not loving it , but felt it was neutral enough without being a flat solid rug. Honestly not liking many of the machine washable rug choices.

Its not terrible, its okay . the colros are just a bit darker in person than how it looks in the lpics.

unfoetunatelt, and 3x5 rug is going to extend last the wall and be visible from living room. The entry is an awkward size . it drives me crazy and I hate seeing it , but i may have to learn to live with it.

any if the 32x48 rugs which would not be visiblw beyond the wall are all are horrible looking; look like bathroom rugs

i solved the issue of an underwhelming entry with the beautiful wallpaper ceilng, but i still have the rug issue as a thorn in my side 😂

I am struggling with similar issue. We just extended our hardwood into kitchen and I'm trying to find a runner coming in from the garage to the kitchen. I did have good luck at a Home Goods for a large area rug for our dining room, so maybe I should try there as well. Good luck!

There is some DIY rug edging you can buy on Amazon. I have no idea how well it works but I did look into it previously. Maybe you could put that edge against the door threshold so it's less visible.

also wondering if maybe you need a better rug/mat solution outside the door to catch all the yuckiness you have to wash off?

Couple thoughts …. If there is only one carpet place in your town, you might try checking a bit farther afield for someone who can cut and rebind for you. You could also check with local tailor/custom sewing places. If they lack the machine to do the binding, they might have contacts who do. Finally, without knowing how expensive the latest (wavy) rug was, perhaps keep it until something better comes along — in an appropriate size. (P.S. I like the wavy rug.). Good luck!

I chose a simple grey/ ivory tone striped rug. I think it will work with whatever pattern rig I get for LR, and the colors blend nicely with the entry wall and wallpaper.

I also got a sofa table and ottomans, which I think adds a nice touch to the entryway and makes it feel more “put together“

Looks really nice. I would hang the two smaller flowers vertically near the stairs and think about a mirror in the entry...but you could put the one large flower there too. It's personal preference. I think you've made great choices.
