I can only imagine how lovely that must smell! I love lilacs!

I envy your lilacs as it is too hot to grow them here. The frost really hurt if not killed both my gardenias and my fig tree. No figs this year. That is just beautiful, Sherry.

Ditto what Kay said about Lilacs. I've read about Miss Kim, and I thought I read that she was more compact then some of them. Looks pretty full and lush to me. You lucky dog getting the scent of Lilacs in the spring..........Maryl

I love Lilacs and your bush is huge. I planted a small one (4 ft )this year that was blooming at the nursery. It is suppose to go to 6 ft.

The lilac is a beauty, I have a couple lilacs that are big, but not so nicely shaped. I don't really know how to prune them properly maybe.

Nancy, Miss Kim lilac has assumed this shape, hasnt been pruned yet. Maybe 10 years old now.

Nice lilac! i have a lilac bush but it gets too much shade and shrinks yearly: I don"t think it bloomed this year

It is a beauty! Unfortunately I'm highly allergic to lilac pollen. There was a gorgeous one here when we first moved to our house. I had to remove it because the allergies made me so miserable. I remember it had a powerful scent.

Miss Kim blooms much more reliably than the large-flowered French lilacs. Wish I had planted one.

My Miss Kim is twenty years old and has never grown higher than 6' or so and as wide without pruning. She is very full and bushy too.
